Key Account Manager, Retail

Mississauga, ON

Fil Delivery is a rapidly growing, best-in-class, beverage supply chain company. We provide end-to-end warehousing, picking, packing, and last-mile delivery of beer, wine, and spirits to retailers across the province — combining deep regulatory expertise with a proprietary analytics and delivery technology stack that gives our partners a level of visibility and operational performance that generalist logistics providers are not positioned to match.

Role:

We are seeking a Key Account Manager, Retail to own and grow FIL Delivery's relationships with large retail banner accounts in the convenience and grocery channels — including Circle K and comparable multi-store chains. This is a proactive, commercially driven role with full end-to-end account ownership and meaningful visibility into the growth of the business.

The successful candidate will run named banner accounts from the ground up: building joint business plans, driving distribution and volume growth, and using FIL's store-level analytics to lead performance reviews with buyers and category teams. Critically, this person will also serve as the internal voice of their accounts — translating FIL's operational and data capabilities into commercial wins and feeding market signals back into our operations, technology, and commercial planning.

We are looking for a candidate with a CPG or retail key-account profile who is equally comfortable across a banner head office, a regional operations team, and the broader store network — someone who brings commercial rigour, analytical confidence, and the relationship depth to be a genuine partner to the buyers and category managers they work with.

(On-site Role : 2727 Meadowpine Blvd, Mississauga, ON L5N 0E1)

Benefits:

· Competitive base salary ($85,000 – $95,000 CAD) with performance-based bonus tied to account growth and new business

· Dental care

· Vision care

· Extended health care

· RRSP / DPSP Match

· Company events

· Casual Dress

· On-site parking

Key Responsibilities:

Banner account ownership

  • Serve as the commercial owner for assigned retail banner accounts, with full accountability for the relationship from head office through to the store network
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with buyers, category managers, and operations leads at banner head offices
  • Manage each account across its full multi-store footprint, ensuring consistent service delivery and proactive relationship management at every level

Joint business planning & growth

  • Develop and execute joint business plans with each banner, anchored to their strategic growth priorities and aligned to FIL's service capabilities
  • Identify and close opportunities to expand distribution, volume, and the overall scope of FIL's program within existing accounts
  • Build and manage a structured commercial narrative for each account, tracking progress against shared objectives through regular business reviews

Performance management & analytics

  • Use FIL's store-level segmentation and delivery-performance analytics to monitor account health, assess execution quality, and identify growth levers
  • Lead regular business reviews with banner stakeholders, coming prepared with data-driven insights and a clear, actionable point of view
  • Translate performance data into specific recommendations that create measurable value for both the banner partner and FIL

Retail execution at scale

  • Coordinate closely with Operations, Fleet, and Customer Experience teams to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery execution across large, multi-store accounts
  • Lead proactive exception management — identifying and resolving recurring execution issues at the root cause rather than triaging them individually
  • Act as the escalation point for account-level service issues, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication back to the banner

Channel & regulatory advisory

  • Maintain working fluency in Ontario's beverage-alcohol channel rules, including the LCBO wholesale framework, AGCO licensing and compliance requirements, and convenience and grocery channel eligibility criteria
  • Advise banner partners on regulatory considerations relevant to their programs, positioning FIL as a knowledgeable and trusted category partner

Cross-functional alignment

  • Act as the internal voice of the banner — feeding account requirements, customer feedback, and market signals back into FIL's operations, technology roadmap, and commercial planning
  • Collaborate effectively across internal functions without direct authority, building credibility through insight, follow-through, and consistent results

What we are looking for:

  • 3–5+ years in CPG sales, key account management, or category and trade marketing, ideally with direct experience calling on or working within national or regional retail banners in convenience, grocery, mass, or beverage-alcohol
  • A demonstrated track record of owning named retail accounts and delivering sustained distribution and volume growth through structured joint business planning
  • Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder banner organizations — building relationships across buying, category, and operations functions simultaneously

We support barrier-free and accessible employment practices. Should you require an accommodation (including, but not limited to, the application process or interview location) during the hiring process, please notify us if you are contacted to proceed in the recruitment process.
